Ms. Sweeney, MSW, LSW is completing her N.J. State licensing hours toward her independent LCSW status. During this 2-year LSW status, she is under the clinical supervision of Barbara Reese, LCSW, CEDS-S. Her LSW license number is 44SL06341200.

Ms. Sweeney is a Resilience DBT Staff Clinician. She offers evidence-based treatment for children, adolescents, and families, for Eating Disorders Recovery and mental health counseling for anxiety, social anxiety, depression, and traumatic stress.

As an Eating Disorder Specialist, she offers CBT-E and DBT for the full range of eating disorders - Anorexia, Bulimia, and Binge Eating Disorder with young people and adults. A firm believer that full recovery is possible, she offers hope and real strategies for the road to eating disorder recovery - in individual, group, and family treatment. With adolescents, she wants them to leave for college as their strongest, most confident self, with normalized eating and body positivity.

Ms. Sweeney is trained in CBT-E for Eating Disorders from the Credo-Oxford Institute in the UK, developed by Christopher Fairburn. She is completing post-graduate training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy from Behavior Tech, the training institute of Marcia Linehan.

In the Resilience DBT Program, she provides individual therapy and is a Co-Facilitator for the Adolescent DBT skills program and the College Prep tract. She co-leads the Resilience DBT-ED groups for eating disorder recovery. She advises High School students to concentrate on their emotion regulation and coping skills before they embark for college.

She is an energetic and passionate Licensed Social Worker with a graduate degree from Fordham School of Social Work. Her training in Cognitive Behavioral treatments, Trauma-Focused CBT, (TF-CBT) and the Nurtured Heart Approach (NHA), and family systems help traumatized individuals heal and create their life worth living.
