DBT Skills Training - Pre-Natal & Post-Partum in a safe safe and supportive environment. Learn Distress Tolerance Skills and Stress Management Skills to the changes in your moods, your body image, and in your relationships, during your pregnancy.
This wellness workshop is meant to maximize your mental health Pre-Nataly to insure a happy and healthy pregnancy, and wonderful bonding time with your newborn. The intent of this maternity group is to focus on the joys of pregnancy and the rewards of pending motherhood. The goal is to shore up your coping skills during your pregnancy that will be necessary in those first intense months with your newborn.
At the Resilience Therapy Collaborative we have found that having a personal or family history of depression or anxiety, a history of an eating disorder, or a personal history with abuse or trauma, can all be risk factors for Post-Partum Depression. At The Women’s Therapy Service we have experienced much success in preventing post-partum depression by initiating this therapeutic work during pregnancy.
